Artichoke Green

Good Sunday morning, Friends! I am so excited that the sun is out and shining brightly!! It was supposed to rain and snow a little today but I don't think that it will. Yea!!! Spring is trying to fight its way to us. I just know it! It was kind of depressing to hear the weather man say that last year at this time our high was 66 degrees and that we wouldn't even reach 45 degrees today. UGH! But it is so nice to see the sun! I can't believe the Olympics are over today. It sure has been fun watching them. I am looking forward to the hockey game this afternoon!

Today's card is one that I did a while back. I used an old inspiration sheet for the layout. It's really very simple! Thanks for stopping by and have a super Sunday!

Medallion Thanks

Good Saturday morning, Friends! I am so sorry that I haven't been here all week. I think that I last posted that I wasn't feeling well. Well, that turned into some "ick" that I won't gross you out with. I was still going to work but feeling flu-like. Not completely, though, so that is why I went into work. And as the day went on I did manage to feel better. But when I got home I went right to bed and later in the night is when it would come back on me. Which left me feeling horrible in the morning. Anyway, by Thursday I was counting the hours since my last "episode" and was feeling much better! But I was still so very tired. I hung on and now I just seem to have a cold. Not fun but I will take it over what I had before!!
Today's card is one that I did last weekend while I had Sherry's books to look from. It's not a copy but I liked the layout. Thanks, Sherry!! A very simple card!! I hope to get some stamping done this weekend since I was robbed of it last weekend! Anyway, enjoy your day! Thanks for stopping by!

Solid Stripes

Hello Friends! It feels good to get Monday over with. My son and I are counting down the school days till spring break. Only 9 more now!! So it was just another manic Monday. I needed to work on a swap this past weekend but decided to get sick instead. I started out thinking I could ignore it. But I just felt so achy all over and finally decided to lie around and watch tv. I started feeling better towards evening. But today my stomach still didn't want to settle down. Yeah, I still went to work. I will be fine but I will go to bed pretty early tonight to try and nip this thing. Yuck!!

Today's card is one that I did a while back. Since we are coming up to St. Patrick's Day, I thought I would post some cards that I have made for the occasion. I just love this new Go Green stamp from Stampin' Up! Another pretty simple card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Sweet Pea

Good Sunday morning, Friends! I hope that you are having a super weekend! The weekends always seem to fly by and be just too short. Bummer. We had a great day yesterday! Nick had two basketball games and they were awesome! I know that we won both of them even though we don't keep score. But that wasn't what was so exciting. The team just played like a team. Like they actually knew what they were doing. Even if we would have lost, it still would have been fun. Most times, at this age, they just tend to play it as an individual sport. But not yesterday! Too bad we only have one more game after this. I think we are finally on a roll!! So today it is snowing...again... Ugh! Powderhorn (our nearest ski area) has gotten so much snow that they had to cancel an event that was scheduled for this weekend! I am glad they have the snow because they need it. I am tired of it. And our driveway is a mess! Mud everywhere!! I know spring is coming. But still...

Today's card is from the Fall to Layout at Clean&Simple Stamping. I get some really great ideas from them. I liked what they did with this layout. I'm not so sure about mine but it works. And I wanted to start using the Sweet Pea stitched felt. I love those flowers! Thanks for stopping by and have a super Sunday!!

Happiness Always

Good Saturday morning! Well, it's snowing again!! It will be nice to sit around the fire, this morning, drinking hot coffee!! Later we have two basketball games and then it will be time to just 'veg'!! My good friend, Sherry, let me borrow two of her books that have some great card sketches in them. So, I hope to make good use of those this weekend.

Today's card is one that I did a while back. I used an old inspiration sheet and tried to make this look a little more 'springy'. I also used a Sale-A-Bration set. I really like the Whimsical Words set. And I used the Beautiful Wings embosslit. Anyway, it is an easy card!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!!

Vintage Scripted Flower

Good afternoon, Friends! Ahhh!!! It's Friday!! I am excited to spend a few hours with some close stamping friends tonight! I haven't seen them in quite a while and it will be fun to eat, chat and stamp! Hmmm... What to take with me?

Today's card is one that I sort of copied from the Stampin' Success Magazine that demonstrators get monthly. The magazine highlighted a few different ways to make your own paper embellishments. I have seen a lot of these flowers made all vintage like with scripted paper. Well, the idea is to make your own scripted paper using the Define Your Life stamps, stamping it repeatedly onto paper and then punching it out with the scallop circle punch! How clever! You do a few other things to it, too, but the result is pretty cool! I will experiment with this idea a little more. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!

Good afternoon! It feels so good to be halfway through this week already. It does help when you have Monday off. But I am looking forward to Friday. A lot of my friends are fighting a serious case of winter blues, including me. The sun is out right now but for how long? And where are the warmer temperatures. Here I am complaining about that and the site of the winter Olympics could use more snow. Ha! How funny is that? I would gladly give them ours!! Oh well. I will just keep wishing...

Today's card is the third one that I did with my stamp club ladies last week. I think this was my favorite of all of them. Again, my favorite colors. I just love the Rich Razzleberry! I also love this stamp set, Herb Expressions. I got this layout from an old inspiration sheet and I really like how it turned out! Thanks for stopping by! Have a super evening!

Razzleberry Daisies

Good morning and Happy President's Day! It's happy if you have a day off from work like I do! And can you hear that? That's right!! You don't hear anything because my husband and my son just left to go skiing!!! And I have the house all to myself!! A mother's dream come true!! Yes, I still have to do some laundry but I am just so giddy! I will need to use my time wisely as to get the most from it (lol)!! I hope you all had a most fantastic Valentine's day.

Today's card is from a sketch at Pals Paper Arts. There is still time for you to get in on it. I really liked the simplicity of the sketch and voted for a spring theme. Gee I don't know why... Anyway, I am using some of my favorite colors and there you have it! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day, Friends! I woke up to roses and my favorite coffee from a favorite coffee shop! What a super way to wake up! In a while we will be going to breakfast at a favorite "ma & pop" restaurant. Then it will be back home for laundry, Olympics and probably some stamping for me. My son is anxious to get outside and tear around on the four wheelers. A lot of the snow has melted (still have a lot to go) and there is a TON of mud everywhere. Yea. He is chomping at the bit to get covered in mud. Boys...

So, today's card came from an old inspiration sheet. I think that this may be my most favorite Valentine's card that I have made! I just love the way it turned out! And I love the pop of Bermuda Bay. I definitely need to find some ways to use that color before the end of the Stampin' Up! year. Anyway, it was super easy and a lot of fun! I hope that your day is filled with love and that the sun is shining wherever you are like it is here! Take care!

Good morning everyone! Yea! It's the weekend! The sun is out here and it looks to be a very nice day! We have a basketball game a little later today and then we are going to a movie with some friends. I feel so relaxed after yesterday's massage. Ahhhh! So how about the Olympic opening ceremony last night? Wow! I thought it was great! Our family is really enjoys watching the Olympics. I love the speed skating and the ski jumping. Anyway, it will be fun!

February 14

Good morning, Friends! Boy, it is really early around here. Normally I am up by now to get ready for school but we don't have school today. However, I still have to be there this morning for an event that our school is hosting but I don't have to be there as early. So why am I up? Good question. I am trying to nip a headache. I feel it coming on and I don't want to suffer all day. We will see what happens. Thankfully, I am getting a massage later today! Shoebox club was last night. That was so fun!! And WAY cute projects as well!! Thanks, ladies!!

Today's card is one that I wanted to post yesterday and just didn't get time. Yesterday at school we had our class Valentine's party. So, I thought it might be fun to post a Valentine's card to go with the occasion. This is a layout that I have used before. Pretty simple! Thanks for stopping by and have a super Friday!!

Go Green!

Hello, Friends! I am so glad to be over "hump" day! And since there is no school on Friday tomorrow is like our Friday!! I do have to be at school on Friday but only for half of the day. And then I get a wonderful massage!! I can't wait!
Today's card is one that I did for stamp club on Monday. I really liked the simple layout. And I tried to make it go with the "environmentally friendly" theme. I love the play on words with this stamp. I don't usually do St. Patrick's Day cards but this stamp really amused me. Enjoy the rest of your day!

Good evening everyone! I am ready for bed but I wanted to get a post up. This sinus thing is really kicking my butt! Just when I think that I am getting over it, I feel awful all over again. And it's mainly in the form of a headache. I am hoping a little sleep will help a lot! And, thankfully, we have a long weekend! Yea!! I am finding stamping to be a huge stress reliever right now! I had a GREAT time with my stamp club ladies last night!! They were great and we got done with projects in record time! And Cinder's cookies were awesome!! YUM!

So tonight's card is one that I gleaned from an old inspiration sheet. I decided to pull out the Extreme Dirt Bike and Extreme Elements for this one. And I like the way it turned out. It was super simple! Thanks for stopping by and have a super evening!

Heart Squared

Happy Monday everyone! I am glad that mine is over! It's always good to get Monday out of the way. And we only have a four day week this week! Yea!! It was great fun to watch the Superbowl yesterday! I need to make this one quick as I am out the door for a workshop this evening. It's my stamp club ladies! They are so much fun and I am looking forward to seeing them again. I am hoping that the sinus medicine that I took won't interfere with a great evening.

So, today's card is a layout from the Clean & Simple blog. I LOVED this layout! It's just my style and I couldn't wait to get to work with this one! I also used the color combination from Pals Paper Arts. I already love Melon Mambo and Pretty In Pink together so it was pretty easy to add some black as well. The only thing that made me curse was that the greeting didn't stamp as well as I would have liked. And wouldn't you know it? It was the last thing that I stamped. UGH!! Anyway, I look forward to using this layout again. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Anniversary Hearts

Good Sunday morning everyone! And it's another fabulous day for snow! The weather does promise not as much as in the southern part of Colorado and warmer temperatures this week. I really hope so! Recess duty is not much fun in the cold! Thankfully I do not seem to have a headache. I do know that my sinuses have been giving me fits so my husband got me some medicine for that and it helped a ton yesterday. I will be taking more today. But our son got sick in the night last night. So I really hope that doesn't go around to the rest of us. He says he feels better now but we will still be taking it easy today. I am just glad my husband found out about it first (he he)!

Today's card is another of my inspiration sheet comebacks. I have always liked this layout. The hardest part is getting the brad around the ribbon because it doesn't go through the card. The ribbon I used was probably a little too wide for this particular technique but I made it work. And I did try to use some different colors. This is actually Certainly Celery, Cameo Coral and Bermuda Bay. It really isn't this bright. Have a super day!!

Good morning everyone! I woke up early to another headache (which I think that I caught early enough) and to more snow!! UGH! I really do like the snow but it has been nearly three months since I have seen the ground! And I really don't want to complain about it because it is really good for our water supply come this summer. So, I digress... In other news, my son's indoor soccer team won their game last night which means they are now in the tournament! They are really excited. We have a basketball game later today but other than that I plan to have some fun in my stamp room!!

Today's card is another from an old inspiration sheet. I am loving the heart stamps! They can be used for so much more than just Valentine's cards. I have also used them for anniversary and wedding cards, too. And I am trying to use up the In Color colors before they retire! I hope you all have a super weekend and stay warm!

Hello everyone! I am so glad to be back posting. Yesterday I came home with a splitting headache (which I had all day long) and it quickly turned into a full blown migraine. I was in a lot of pain. I went to bed at 6:30 and woke up to some pain this morning but after taking some pills it did finally go away. I really hate it when that happens! I had one on Monday as well but it wasn't as bad as this last one. I will be glad to get back into the routine of having massages. That does seem to help quite a bit. And I do hope to be stamping this weekend! Yea!!

This layout is one that I used on the wheat card a few days ago. I like how this one turned out. I am really liking the Melon Mambo for Valentine's Day. I do have a few more to show using this color! Thanks for stopping by and have a super weekend!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Love You Much; Paper- Melon Mambo, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Pretty In Pink; Ink- Black StazOn, Melon Mambo, Old Olive; Accessories- Melon Mambo polka dot ribbon, trio flower punch, black brad, corner rounder, perfect polka dots textured impressions folder, big shot, blender pen, dimensionals

Good afternoon, Friends! I hope that you all are surviving the week so far. I am glad that I am over the 'hump'. It's all downhill to the weekend! Yea!!

Yesterday I told you all that I had pulled out some old inspiration sheets. Well, here is another one that I came up with from those sheets. This layout is one that you can definitely use over and over! I have plans to use it with the Sweet Pea designer paper. A super simple card!! Thanks for stopping by!

Old Inspiration

Good afternoon everyone! I am glad to have Tuesday over with! I thought that once January was done that my winter 'blahs' would go away with it. But today was just very 'blah'! Even some of the other teachers were feeling that way, too. It might be time for a party in my classroom to get things going again. I'll have to think about that...

So over the weekend I started going through some old inspiration sheets. Remember those? It's been a while!! It was just thing to inspire me! I made up quite a few cards and found some to use in my workshop next week. I was really excited! Can't wait to try more ideas. And this card came from one of those sheets. I don't really like the way it turned out. It's not bad but just not what I had envisioned. So I made up a few other cards with this same layout that you will be seeing in the next couple of weeks. I hope you are inspired to look through some old inspiration sheets, too! Thanks for stopping by!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Autumn Days, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Paper- Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Dusty Durango; Ink- Chocolate Chip, Crushed Curry; Accessories- Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon, corner rounder, spritzer, dimensionals
